Enrollment at Central Carolina Academy

We’re excited that you’re considering Central Carolina Academy for your student!

At CCA, we believe choosing the right school is an important decision, and we welcome families to learn more about our school, our community, and the opportunities available to our students.

As Central Carolina Academy continues to grow, seats may be available in select grade levels for the 2027–2028 school year. We encourage families interested in joining the CCA community to submit an application during our open application period.

2027–2028 Application Period

Applications open October 1, 2026, and close January 16, 2027, at 5:00 p.m.

Families should complete the online application through Lotterease during the application period. Please provide complete and accurate information, including current contact information, as it will be used throughout the application and enrollment process.

Current CCA students do not need to reapply.

What Happens After You Apply?

After the application period closes, CCA will review applications and determine seat availability by grade level.

If the number of eligible applicants for a grade level exceeds the number of available seats, CCA will conduct a random enrollment lottery using Lotterease. Students who are not offered a seat through the initial random enrollment lottery will be placed on a waitlist in the order established by the lottery.

Families will be notified of their student's application status using the contact information provided on the application. Notifications may include a seat offer or waitlist placement.

Families receiving a seat offer will have a specified period of time to accept the offer and complete the required enrollment steps. If an offer is not accepted by the stated deadline, the seat may be offered to the next eligible student on the waitlist.

Please keep your contact information current throughout the application and enrollment process so you do not miss important notifications from CCA.

Who Can Attend CCA?

Central Carolina Academy is a tuition-free North Carolina public charter school. Students must meet North Carolina residency requirements to attend a North Carolina public school.

Because CCA is a public charter school, enrollment is not determined by county boundaries or traditional school attendance zones.

Central Carolina Academy does not discriminate in admissions on the basis of intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, disability, race, creed, gender, national origin, ancestry, or any other classification protected by applicable law.
